What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

I think it’s important to know that you don’t have to do the impossible. Keep it simple. Workout 30 minutes/ day. Eat more complex carbs, lean meats, and good fats. Don’t deprive yourself of things you love, just consume in moderation. It’s no fun if you’re miserable, enjoy yourself and the journey!

How does fitness positively influence your life?

I started working out to lose weight, I wanted to change my appearance. But what it does for my mental is unmatched. Working out is a form of therapy, I call it free therapy. I not only feel good, have better moods and a clear mind, but I also get to see the positive effects on my body. It’s a win/ win!

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

As a single mom and a home owner, I’d complete my in home gym, some other home renovations, & definitely go on an incredible vacation with my son! We love to travel, my best vacations are with him.
