What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

There is no one size fits all when it comes to fitness. I love to work out differently. Changing it up is key. Make it fun! Experiment with new recipes. Dont be afraid to make mistakes. Be persistent and strive for progress. YOU can do anything! Don’t give up on YOU! LOVE YOURSELF!

How does fitness positively influence your life?

I have two boys with autism and ADHD. So many people doubted a lot of our choices and how far they would go. I became their fulltime teacher and therapist. I felt scared and alone and I was getting physically weak from my mental and emotional state. For my boys to continue to grow, i needed to take back my health. I started creating my own programs from home. Our bodies thrive off of movement and it has become my therapy. Our healthy lifestyle helps me focus on my whole self.

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

Every year, we raise money for an autism organization. I will be donating to autism organizations and charities that give grants to families with autism. I plan to continue promoting the importance of health and fitness and connecting with local businesses who offer physical fitness and physical therapy for children and adults with special needs. Our journey took a toll on me mentally and emotionally. I want to show other mamas out there that you can take back your health. I see YOU!
