What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

To be patient with yourself. It is not always easy to feel motivated. My clients often ask me how I stay motivated. The truth is, I'm not always motivated - I just show up in spite of that. So my motto is, just show up and I'll show up for you! Find your why and use that everyday to get up and do something to become a better version of you. Even if you get less than 1% better over the course of the week, if you stay the course, you'll eventually be able to achieve the goals you set out to.

How does fitness positively influence your life?

Strength training provides me with a safe place to grow and become a better version of myself on all levels. I truly believe that it is a you vs you mentality every training session. The reality is even if it's not your best workout, you're improving yourself just by showing up! It exemplifies your commitment and dedication to growing as an individual - physically, mentally, and spiritually.

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

I would use it to continue to get my startup company off the ground to help as many people as possible. I'm currently an independent personal trainer and lifestyle coach looking for ways to broaden my reach. I want to help inspire people on their own journeys. I want to specifically help youth develop healthy habits surrounding exercise and nutrition. I would like to create a safe space for both young teens as well as adults to use as an outlet to better manage increasing societal demands.
