What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

Consistency. Find something you enjoy that is active, and make it a habit. For nutrition, start with small changes- Give up soda, or sugar, then progress in to a more clean eating lifestyle.

How does fitness positively influence your life?

I was always thin/petite but was never really in shape. I lived on fast food and Diet coke- Because I didn't know any better. After my first son, I started working out (After gaining 50 lbs) and found that I really liked it. I educated myself on the importance of proper nutrition and how what goes into your body really affects so many aspects of your life, not just physically. Now I eat clean, workout & at 44 I am in the best shape of my life- physically & mentally.

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

WOW- $20,000 is a lot of money- I would definitely pay off some household bills being that I have been out of work since the pandemic. It would relieve a lot of stress for my family. I would donate to a few of the charities that are close to my heat; I would also put some towards updating our home "gym" and maybe even create the outdoor workout space I have been wanting!
