What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

It takes courage to eliminate habits and patterns that prohibit you from being most effective in life. Be intentional about walking out of your comfort zone. Yeah it can be uncomfortable, but this is when you have to give yourself permission to go after what you want - being fit and healthy. Giving yourself permission means you are willing to take control and create the life you want to live, and boldly confront the very things you secretly believe are impossible.

How does fitness positively influence your life?

Fitness has given me the courage to show up in my life! For me, to show up means that I recognize I have been given one life, so I need to boldly show up, fully engage, and make it my best life ever! There’s an old saying, “Are you traveling or are you going somewhere?” So I always make it a point to chase after the very thing I believe is impossible. This forces me to open myself up to the possibilities of what could be for my life and career.

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

My zone of genius is helping women break the cycle of emotional eating by using practical skills that will help them find their voice, live their truth, and win in life. If I were the next Ms Health and Fitness, I would continue to do the work and expand my reach.
