Lisa Renee Claiborne Pryor is a 52-year-old attorney and personal trainer who believes a healthy body promotes a healthy mind.
Being fit and healthy is not about cookie-cutter exercise fads and short-cut dieting methods. In order to be truly fit and healthy, one must commit to a lifestyle change. Unhealthy habits have to be identified and a plan needs to be implemented to tackle them for the long term. If a consistent effort is made and the proper knowledge is obtained, anyone can achieve a balanced fitness foundation that will assist them in making the mind-body connection.
Fitness has been an invaluable part of how I have overcome certain obstacles and achieved certain successes in my life. When I started in the fitness industry over twenty years ago, I had no idea how it would help me balance my busy schedule of school and work. I also did not know how it would prepare me for my current career. People look at fitness dedication as one more thing on a long list of tasks to complete, but I look at it as something I need in order to complete my list of tasks.
If I were the next Ms Health and Fitness, a percentage of the $20,000 would be donated to the fitness program at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Richmond - Petersburg Club. The winnings will also be used for a fitness studio used to train clients of my personal trainIng business.
