I believe the most important piece of advice for getting fit and healthy is establishing healthy habits and learning to fall in love with the journey. If you don't love what you are eating or how you are exercising you will never be able to make it a lifestyle, which I believe is the ultimate success.
How does it not positively influence my life?! Fitness is one of my greatest coping mechanisms. It carries over into everything I do from being the best mother and wife possible, to giving everything I can at work as a nurse. I believe that I do better when I have a goal and there are so many different goals when it comes to health and fitness. It gives me energy, it brings out the fighter in me, and it always reminds me that hard work pays off.
If I was the next Ms. Health and Fitness, I would use the $20,000 to invest in my fitness business, focusing on empowering other women through fitness.
