What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

Being fit and healthy is more than just having a good physical shape; it encompasses good nutritional habits, emotional balance and a strong mindset. Health and fitness is a lifestyle, and not something one can achieve through a fad diet or quick workout hack. I believe in striving for longevity and tuning into your own body, learning how it responds to different foods or workouts, taking time to recover when needed. Finally, be kind to yourself!..it’s ok to have a bad day, you are human.

How does fitness positively influence your life?

I grew up in Australia & was introduced to sports at a young age. My family moved cities many times & playing sport allowed me to establish friendships easily. Through healthy competition, I learned what it feels like to win, to lose, to play fair, and how to work as a team. All valuable lessons preparing me in business and in life. When I workout my brain is sharper & I have more energy. Running solo also ignites my creativity. When I feel physically strong, I feel mentally strong.

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

I would put it towards a new business venture to promote health and wellness..I have an idea brewing :-) I am passionate about the importance of educating the youth with respect to establishing healthy nutritional and fitness habits at a young age and would donate a portion to The Noble Path Foundation and lastly, I would take my two daughters on a fun fitness adventure trip.
