Find the joy... CVICU nurse by night, fitness and nutrition enthusiast by day, adventurous Mom of three, 365! A good sweat is my outlet!
My biggest recommendation to others who want to be fit and heathy is to find your reason why. For me, I want to be there for my children and grandchildren. Next I would remind them that it is a process. Slow and steady wins the race, or in this case, the marathon. Take the time to learn your body, what it needs and what it doesn't. Focus on your health first, versus the scale and the rest will follow. It may not be easy, but nothing in life, that is worth it, is.
Fitness positively influences my life because it allows me to be the best version I can be for the people I love and care about, most especially my kids. It helps me stay active and energized to keep up with my busy life. Being a mom to three young kids, and an ICU night shift nurse during these crazy times, I have to be in the best shape I can be. It is a physical and emotional outlet and I consider it my favorite form of self care.
If I were to be the next Ms Health and Fitness, it really is not about the money. Though it would 100% go towards my children's education, my journey started by sharing my experiences and supporting and encouraging women in any and all walks of life to be the best version of themselves and that’s what I will continue to do. This process alone has brought so much positivity and ignited a fire in so many to make changes for the better and for that, I am eternally grateful.
