What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

"Eliminate self-doubt and find that champion from within." Growing up, I never felt "athletic." Why? I didn't play individual sports. I ONLY played softball, volleyball, and cheerleading. In 1989, I was 17 years old when I watched the Ironman World Championship on the ABC Wide World of Sports. I told my family that I was going to do THAT Ironman Triathlon. Twenty-eight years later, I accomplished that goal. I qualified and finished the 2017 Ironman World Championship.

How does fitness positively influence your life?

Fitness is a non-negotiable in my life. I have found a sense of peace with fitness. The finish line now is to be a better version of me. I enjoy strength sessions, yoga, biking for fun, and still LOVE running. I am a better me with fitness in my life.

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

Currently, I have started a "Champion Mindset Coaching" Women's Program. The program is "To empower women to find their inner champion." These graduates of the CMC Program will help me with my non-profit. My goal is to have 7 - 13-year-olds who are fearless, unstoppable, and learn to live in their Champion Mindset by removing all fears, perceived obstacles, and abundance before puberty.
