What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

Start with the acceptance that changing your habits for the better, will take time, and effort, along with consistency, especially when the motivation just isn't there. My biggest recommendation, is to get up early, 1-2 hours earlier than what you're accustomed to doing. This sets a shift in your schedule to not stay up late, develops eagerness to find the first part of your day, to meditate, exercise, and find 3 things to be grateful for, in your life.

How does fitness positively influence your life?

Being physically fit, has been my "Fountain of Youth", along with providing me patience & grace, towards circumstances, or oblivious people that attempt to derail my day. Helps my metabolism, gives me some inner peace as I meditate about my life, and reminder of my purpose in life, as I'm working out. It's not just about getting physically strong, but spiritually stronger, through disciplining my mind.

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

I'd donate the entire amount of money, towards resurfacing the playground blacktop, at my kids' elementary school, for safer play, during their recesses, and P.E. activities. School funding is limited. I'd want the kids to at least have a safe, level surface to run upon.
