I am an elite middle-distance athlete. Competing at my best is the road where determination knows no limits.
Be patient and trust the process. I am approached by women regularly who exclaim how much they would love to look like me. I am always enthusiastic, positive, and encouraging to everyone I meet. I tell the truth. I enjoy sharing my fitness journey with people. In doing so, it paints a picture of a "real person, real struggles, real results". Everyone's fitness journey is unique to that individual. Getting fit takes time - no shortcuts. Fit and healthy is a lifestyle
My elite athleticism, coupled with living a healthy lifestyle helped me improve my self-confidence. I am on the autism spectrum and struggled to fit in most social situations. Fitness helped me find myself. Athletics gave me a voice and a platform to share with so many people. When I share my story, I talk about my struggles as well as my successes, which inspires people to keep going. I participate in many local races, and, I feel good when kids, especially girls, ask to take pictures with me
The expense of training for the Olympic Trials is costly. I need the best supplements (approved by WADA), coach, trainers, and gear. Additionally, I have to travel to compete in high-performance competition venues. My Mom is my biggest supporter. We have to cut corners sometimes, but we do so happily. Things always work out for us. Winning the grand prize would certainly help me afford everything I need to achieve my goals in 2021.
