Be patient and use before and after pics or some form of progress log to refer back to. This really helps keep you motivated. Dedication and repetition are needed for results. One day off won’t set you back but it is another day that could be used to push you forward. Making smaller goals inside of large goals is the best way to stay on track. Make goals for mental change as well as diet, and physical. Also, relax, get some sleep, and enjoy the journey.
I started my fitness journey as a runner. I was caring for my mother who had been diagnosed with cancer. It seemed to help me cope. Through this I found the strength to quit smoking and take charge of my own health. Now I continue my healthy life style to be a positive influence to my two children.
I’ve never been a “what if” person. Not much has really ever been just handed to me. I’ve always had to work hard and prove myself. So, to win 20,000$, just seems to exciting, yet unrealistic. However, I would love to have my own home gym and use the rest of the money to promote youth athletics in my area. I run a non-profit organization that gets children into running. This is a huge passion for me.
