What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

Build healthy habits that benefit you for a lifetime and celebrate small victories. Seek out quality information and rolemodels. Recognize that everyone’s fitness journey is on a different timeline. Take one day at a time and be patient with yourself.

How does fitness positively influence your life?

When my life was at its most challenging, fitness saved me. Challenging teenage years, unexpected death of my father and health concerns were pivotal points in my life when I focused in on a positive outlet that helped shaped me into the person I am today. That positive outlet was fitness... Truly life-saving in many ways! Now at 46, my focus is improved health, strength and longevity in an ever-changing industry!

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

I believe some of the people who need positive fitness coaching and role models the most have fewer resources and access to it. When teenage girls and women discover their unique gifts and build their confidence through health and fitness pursuits, their potential and impact on the world and their families is limitless. I’d love to reach more women and girls through quality coaching and resources to help them become their best. I believe the ripple effect of this pursuit can impact generat
