What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

As a fitness professional, my recommendations for others begin with the fundamentals because it is my passion to help people make being fit and healthy a part of who they ARE and not simply something they DO. These fundamentals help build foundation and they are everything from increasing water intake, getting more sleep, managing stress, following a clean diet with supplementation, engaging in regular activity daily, and being accountable to another human being to help prevent self sabotage.

How does fitness positively influence your life?

Fitness is the lifeline that connects who I've been, who I am and who I am destined to be. I took my body for granted my entire life, and it wasn't until a severe neck injury in 2008, that my whole mindset changed. When I woke from surgery and felt years of nerve pain fade away, I swore to myself that I would use this "second lease on life" to drive a new mission: to value my fitness as if my life depended on it and help all who are in need to do the same.

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

If I was honored enough to be chosen, I would use the winnings to fund my business venture. My business is the cumulative by-product of everything I have learned over my career to date and everything that is missing in the fitness industry, that if implemented strategically and successful, would change the face of the fitness world forever by birthing a new, health-driven culture and society.
