What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

Be consistent: Incorporate fitness into each day. Find activities you love and surround yourself with people who share your passion for health and fitness. Stay committed: Fitness is a lifelong journey. Seek out new challenges, set new goals and remember many small changes amount to profound transformation. Keep a positive mind set: There will be hard days but you must have the courage and confidence to keep moving forward. Acknowledge the downs BUT focus on the ups!

How does fitness positively influence your life?

I don’t know where I would be without it! Fitness has affected my physical, mental and social health. Physically, I love feeling strong, fit and unstoppable. More significantly, physical activity has helped me battle depression. On the most difficult days, a challenging, sweaty workout leaves me feeling content and ready to tackle anything. Finally, fitness has introduced me to many amazing people, near and far, who share a similar drive and passion. Always inspired and inspiring others!

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

In a society increasingly influenced by screen time, I am passionate about inspiring and supporting children to be physically active. The YMCA has a program called Strong Kids that provides children with the opportunity to be involved in sports, sport camps and have a facility membership. $10,000 would go toward this program. I would use the remaining money to take a mini break from my career to focus on Fitness training and recovery in hopes of achieving some of my personal Fitness goals.
