Stay committed: Fitness is a lifelong journey. Seek out new challenges, set new goals and remember many small changes amount to profound transformation. Keep a positive mind set: There will be hard days but you must have the courage and confidence to keep moving forward. Acknowledge the downs BUT focus on the ups!
I don’t know where I would be without it! Fitness has affected my physical, mental and social health. Physically, I love feeling strong, fit and unstoppable. More significantly, physical activity has helped me battle depression. On the most difficult days, a challenging, sweaty workout leaves me feeling content and ready to tackle anything. Finally, fitness has introduced me to many amazing people, near and far, who share a similar drive and passion. Always inspired and inspiring others!
In a society increasingly influenced by screen time, I am passionate about inspiring and supporting children to be physically active. The YMCA has a program called Strong Kids that provides children with the opportunity to be involved in sports, sport camps and have a facility membership. $10,000 would go toward this program. I would use the remaining money to take a mini break from my career to focus on Fitness training and recovery in hopes of achieving some of my personal Fitness goals.
