Balance is important. Anything extreme is not healthy so a good balance of the mind, body and soul is truly important. Fitness is not only important for the external physique but also crucial for our mind and soul. Eating healthy, adequate sleep, exercise, meditation, yoga/stretching, breathing.... are various ways to help maintain a balanced body, mind and soul!
Fitness is a way of life for me. Not only does it help maintain my stress level. It keeps my mind balanced and allows me to care for my patients better by practicing what I preach.
I would donate a portion to the Miami Rescue Mission, where I volunteer providing medical care to the homeless. I would also provide a scholarship program for uninsured patients at Aspire Health, www.aspirehealthcenter.com. Allowing those unable to afford health insurance access to free membership for healthcare, medication and labs.
