3 Things. 1) Set a goal but focus on the journey. It's the path, day in and out that will shape how satisfied & happy you are when you reach your goal. 2) Start with 1 change at a time. If you change too much at once you can get overwhelmed, stressed and this can knock you off your path. Get traction and some success with 1 habit change and then go for the next. There are so many ways. It has allowed me to be a role model to my kids showing them that bodies were made to move and we are capable of extraordinary physicality. I've been able to switch careers because of fitness. I love feeling how my strength and stamina can keep improving even though I keep clocking birthdays. And I truly feel it is allowing me an opportunity to join a growing number of women redefining what aging can look like.
I'd split the money and re-invest part back into my business so I can get to the next level of showing people how fitness can adapt to their lifestyle as their lives change and to bring new and exciting fitness events to the "everyday" individual. The other part of the award would go towards a bit of a family reunion. There are some people I haven't been able to see in a very long time and it would be nice to share more of my long-distance family with my kids.
