Stacy Garrity

In July of 2016, I decided to start my fitness journey! That year I got married, turned 30 and was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.

Ms. Health and Fitness and Jared Allen's Homes for Wounded Warriors would like to thank Stacy Garrity and her voters for helping us donate to our injured United States military veterans!

What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

You have to find your "why" and it has to be for you! If you don't have a strong driving force behind you like your "why" you might not be as successful. You also need to believe that you CAN do it. If you put in the hard work, dedication, and consistency, your body will reward you!

How does fitness positively influence your life?

Fitness literally keeps me going. Being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in September of 2016 at 30 years old was not in the plan, but I used it as fuel. Fuel to keep going! Only really shifting my lifestyle and eating habits months before, I could have easily given up. I could have just stopped, went back to laying around and eating poorly. I am so thankful with the help and support of my husband, Kyle, I pushed through and continued on with my goal of competing in a bodybuilding competition!

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

First, my husband Kyle and I would take a nice long vacation! Then, we would take our 3-year-old German Shepherd fur baby Rambo and buy him all the treats! Finally, I would donate a portion of the winnings to the MS Society to help with research and to finally find a cure for MS.
