Ms. Health and Fitness and Jared Allen's Homes for Wounded Warriors would like to thank Stacey and her voters for helping us donate to our injured United States military veterans!
When it comes to fitness find something that you enjoy doing and just make sure you are consistent with it. Most people will see results as long as they are consistent - which is sometimes easier said than done. Fitness should be fun and something you enjoy doing; what works for one person may not work for another. And nutrition is even MORE important than working out so make sure you are eating healthy, though enjoy treating yourself on occasion without deprivation. Everything in moderation!
Fitness has always been an important stress reliever for me. My husband was sick for 5 1/2 year & the gym helped me deal with that. After he died, I turned to the gym even more as a way to help me through my grief. I want to be a source of hope and inspiration for my own daughters and people all over the world who are going through hard stuff. Life can be so hard and unfair but I truly believe that taking good care of yourself allows you to be ready to deal with everything life throws at you
You know that is a really good question! I do believe in being generous with my money so I know I would donate some to Team Telomere, which is an organization that helps families affected by Dyskeratosis Congenita (DC) which is what my husband had. I think I would maybe either invest it or save part of it for future fitness adventures such as more bikini competitions or personal adventures such as dream vacations.
