What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

Start with a decision that you WILL put yourself first and make a commitment to yourself to keep going NO MATTER what life throws at you.. Accept you are worth it to look and feel your best and that those around you will actually benefit from you looking after yourself first. Self care is not selfish! Make a plan and set a realistic goal - you need to know where you are going and have a realistic timeline. Find a professional/coach/nutritionist and a supportive community to help stay the course.

How does fitness positively influence your life?

It's mentally empowering. It pushes me outside my comfort zone and challenges me to grow, work through discomfort.. it shows me that I can and will achieve anything I out my mind to. Training the muscles in my body trains my makes me see how I respond when things get hard, where I sabotage, to take short cuts, or sabotage. It teaches me about myself. Every time you make a commitment to yourself and keep your word to yourself, regardless of how you FEEL, you grow on the inside!

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

Pay off some debt. Invest some to grow my coaching business. I would also take my kids on a mini vacation, I'd love to show them how hard work pays off, what happens when you stay committed. I'd pay back my kids dad and ex husband the money he has given me whilst I have been growing my business, he has been my rock and number 1 supporter and helped far beyond his obligations! And I would help another mom with limited funds to start her of transformation journey.
