What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

As someone who started at 200+ pounds and really struggled with binge eating, fad diets and weight loss & regain, as well as taking it to the extreme in competing in bikini bodybuilding shows, I feel like I’ve come full circle having experienced all ends of the fitness spectrum and I can whole heartedly say the best, most important advice is to make one tiny change, one day or week at a time. That is truly the only way to build a sustainably fit, happy and healthy body & mind.

How does fitness positively influence your life?

As a busy mama, I feel like sweating each day, even for 30 minutes, fills my cup! It increases those feel good hormones, helps me feel good in my skin, and I crave those feelings! As a personal trainer I love seeing these same positive effects take place with the ladies I work with! The more women who feel empowered and know their strength the more women they too empower! It’s a beautiful and inspiring ripple effect!

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

My sole purpose and passion are to empower women to create their strongest/healthiest/happiest body & mind through fitness, nutrition and wellness and I would invest this money to reach and help more women who may be struggling or feeling the way I did when I began my journey. I want to help women become that vision of themselves they know deep down they were meant to be!
