For those that want to be fit and healthy, I recommend keeping it simple and baby steps. There are so many "fad" diets and none of them teach about proper nutrition that is sustainable over their lifetime. Portion control on meals by using the "palm, fist, fist" method. (Palm size serving of lean protein, fist size serving of carbs and fist size serving of veggies). Exercise...just start off by being more active. 45 min walk is a huge improvement from not doing anything.
It has positively influenced my life by just feeling healthier and better about myself. By sharing my journey and progress through social media or the people that know me in my community, it has inspired others that they too can do the same. Nothing makes me happier than to know that I have inspired someone to make the change to be healthier themselves.
If I was the next Ms Health and Fitness, I would use the money to take my family on a special vacation and invest in some gym equipment so that I can help train others once I get my NASM certification of course. It is my passion and desire to help others become healthier. I want to be able to pay off some stuff so that I have more freedom to pursue my passion.
