Ms. Health and Fitness and Jared Allen's Homes for Wounded Warriors would like to thank Nikki Walter and her voters for helping us donate to our injured United States military veterans!

What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

Being healthy is more In about ourselves. It’s about being the best person we can to take care of those we love. Which includes everything from the work we do in our daily lives to the choices we make in a daily basis to stay consistent and be healthy and a world that makes it difficult, but yet so easy.

How does fitness positively influence your life?

Dream big. I’ve been through a lot of tragedy. Fitness and health help me focus on becoming a better mom, and person, and doing more for others and creating more opportunities. It has helped me strive to raise my daughter in a healthy environment and provided Opportunities to help others do the same. It starts with parents to see a good foundation of health. I see a need in rural america to help prioritize health with family. It’s never a priority until it’s too late in most

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

I would love to use the money to build our initiative to help families in small communities we do not have access to the healthiest options or gym facilities. It’s an actual cultural change in Rural America that’s needed and it will take time To incorporate a new lifestyle in such an environment. More information can be found on my website under #ruralfit
