You must first set a goal, then set up a plan. Keep a log and take progress pictures and measurements to track progress. NEVER rely on the numbers on the scale. Lastly, keep in mind that this is a journey, and not a race. When you are on the road to become a fitter and healthier version of yourself, you will have setbacks and some bumps along the way but you must keep going. Don't you dare to give up on yourself when things get hard! You can do it!
As proud of myself as I am of my physical transformation, I am prouder of my mental and spiritual transformation. Fitness has helped me a lot with gaining mental strength, understanding, and self-acceptance. Yes, I am 50 pounds lighter, but I am still me. I still struggle sometimes, but I am healthier, stronger and most importantly I am happier. And to know that through my transformation I have inspired many to become the best versions of themselves, has given my life a purpose.
Winning this would be a life changer. 1) I'll have the money to visit my family in Mexico whom I haven't seen in 16 years since I left home. 2) I can pursue a fitness modeling career 3) I'll have the funds to publish my books, and become an Author. This is my chance to make my dreams come true.
