What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

Start by getting advice from a professional and just get out there, even if it’s a 20 min walk or signing up for a gym, you have to start somewhere. Everyone has a starting point that we aren’t proud of but nothing will get better if you don’t change something. Everyone is motivated differently, it’s okay to admit you need a trainer by your side or a friend/accountability partner to start. I like having a goal in front of me so I know I’m working towards something t

How does fitness positively influence your life?

I have struggled with depression on and off through my life, working out has helped balance those hormones levels so I’m not feeling depressed. Working out makes me feels strong, confident and I love the results that come from it including my mental clarity and health.

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

I would give back to our clients by getting new gear for our personal training studio, by holding a fit competition for them as well. We donate to community clubs so this prize money would help those in our community. I also would pay off those dr bills from my unexpected major surgery and take our kids on a needed vacation!
