What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

Turning my life/fitness around and losing the weight, has been based on overhauling my mind and the way I think. You must stop ANY negative self talk. Stop saying things like: "This sucks" "This is hard" "I hate cardio". Instead, recognize that kind of thought process, stop yourself & tell yourself positive statements like; "Good job! You killed that weight/cardio!" "You've got this" Basically, fake it until you make it!!

How does fitness positively influence your life?

Everything has changed! I find love and positivity, everywhere now! Because that's what I see in the world and actively look for. You must change your mind, to change your body and health. Your mind/thinking is a muscle that should be trained as often, if not more than, your body. Because of fitness, I found a new 'identity' after the military. I stuggled with that a great deal at first. I'm happy!! I love the skin I'm in and the personal power I posess! I undoubtedly know I can do anything!!

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

When I win, I have some people in my life I'd like to help, including myself. Many struggle. I do what I can with what little I currently have, to help others. It excites me to know I can do more with the prize money!! As far as myself, I plan to write a book on transformation & get a Personal Trainer Cert, so I can dispense proper, educated, training advice for free. Helping others find a healthy love for life/fitness is a goal. As well as teaching proper form/cadence/mind muscle connection
