I am a determined and positive person. I have come a long way in my fitness journey and am continuing to set goals and crush them.
Ms. Health and Fitness and Jared Allen's Homes for Wounded Warriors would like to thank Meghan Guntz and her voters for helping us donate to our injured United States military veterans!
The number one thing I would recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy is to ask for help and be consistent. Not knowing what to do in the gym is a very scary and intimidating thing. Recently becoming a personal trainer myself I have learned knowledge really is power and is able to help ease the anxiety of going to the gym. "There is no dumb question", definitely rings true at the gym and most people are excited to help and pass along what they have learned.
Fitness has always been a positive influence in my life. When I was younger I played several sports including track, volleyball, and soccer. I recently started becoming dedicated to learning more about fitness a year ago when I was suffering from depression and anxiety. In that short time I have learned an incredible amount, established routines, and have built a fitness community. Fitness was able to pull me out of dark times, ease tension, and give me my self worth and empowerment back.
If I was chosen to be the next Ms. Health and Fitness I would use the money to spend towards student loans and to continue my fitness goals by training and entering a bikini body building competition.
