To practice patience and self compassion. Being fit and healthy is a journey not a single destination. It's ok to make mistakes, it's about progress, not perfection. But it does take dedication and consistency. It can be easy to start comparing your looks and fitness level to others, but really you should only be comparing your present self to your yesterday's self. If you continually take healthy actions each day for your body and mind you will see and feel the results.
Fitness has been a game changer for my life. As somebody who has struggled with anxiety and addiction, it has been a positive outlet. It has not only influenced me physically, but the change mentally has had the most influence. I feel strong and empowered. It has given me a sense of self confidence and fulfillment. There have been so many positives in my life from fitness that I decided to become certified in personal training to help people achieve those same positive changes!
I would probably donate some to some rehab centers in need, or to organizations that help the constantly growing homeless population in L.A. like the Home L.A. Fund, for example. The rest I would invest into myself now that I have gained a sense of self worth and value myself and believe I can make a difference helping others' to love themselves as well. Opening my own boxing/personal training program.
