Everyone is a beginner at some point in their lives with everything they do, so never be afraid to start! I would recommend doing some research online to find at-home workouts you can do to start yourself on this journey. If that sounds too boring than go down to your local gym or crossfit box and talk with a personal trainer so you can set up a workout plan tailored for you, and also to learn proper form so you don't hurt yourself. Lastly, nutrition nutrition nutrition!
Aside from staying healthy and strong, as well as being able to excel at golf, fitness has truly turned my life around and made me a happier person. I suffer from moderate generalized anxiety disorder and mild depression; fitness helps to reduce my anxiety to the point where I have been able to stop taking anxiety medications 90% of the time. Fitness isn't just about looks, it's also a mental game changer!
I would put half of it in savings; the remaining half I would use to pay off my student loans, buy new tires for my truck, and gift the rest of the money that isn't in savings to my parents. I am eternally grateful for all of the support my parents have given me and everything they have given up so I can chase my dreams of being a collegiate and then professional golfer.
