What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

I'm a huge advocate for creating healthy, sustainable habits. I want others to think of being healthy and fit as a lifestyle not as a bunch of restrictions in diet and a exhausting exercise routine. Just simple changes in your daily routine will make a huge difference. Going for a walk, reducing sugar and keeping your thought life in check. Actively practicing meditation and self encouragement/belief. Creating change that people can sustain for a lifetime is truly life altering.

How does fitness positively influence your life?

I really can't decide whether it helps me more physically or mentally. After I had my youngest I struggled with postpartum depression and anxiety. My doctor prescribed medication but I resisted. I knew I could beat it through exercise. And I did! I've actually never felt better! Exercise pushes me to do more, to dream big and to Live My Best Life!

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

I would love to collaborate with others focused on postpartum care in order to create a program especially for postpartum mothers. I want to be able to provide new moms at-home workout gear like resistance bands, exercise balls, etc. It's difficult getting to the gym with a new baby especially if your gym doesn't offer exceptional child care. All I know is that being a mom is the hardest thing I've ever done and I believe in helping each other out. Every mom deserves to feel this good!
