Have a positive mindset and enjoy life. Don’t get swept away into negativity and worry. Place value on the food you eat and understand the connection between what you eat and how you feel. Once you have this foundation and partner it with exercise, health becomes the core to your life. Keep exercise fun and varied. Choose things that work your whole body and also integrate the mind/body connection.
Fitness is my therapy as I tell my friends and family. It is not just something I do at the gym, but is also a lifestyle choice. I have experienced several “down slopes” in my life and have become quite aware of the direct correlation between my moods and emotions to the lack of fitness. I inspire others by modeling behavior and showing them how with aging you can make the choice to get stronger and healthier.
I would like to help start a health coaching program for teenagers who suffer from anxiety and depression. I would like to coach them on health and fitness and help them foster healthy lifestyle habits to better their well being.
