What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

Give yourself some grace! A fitness journey is far from perfect, you will make mistakes, you are human. Be kind to yourself when you fall off track. Think of what you would say to a friend. It's never too late to start, there's no perfect day, or perfect plan - I'm 44 and workout at home. You don't need any thing fancy, you CAN do it!

How does fitness positively influence your life?

My time dedicated to fitness is MY time. As women, we often put others first -- our kids, family, partners, work. My workout is a time for reflection, self care and is a great stress reliever. That 60-90 minutes makes me a better mom, better boss and better human. Fitness has shown me a loving, supportive female community - willing to lift each other up and fix each others crown. I would like to give back to that community and be a role model for young women.

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

I would plan a Ladies relaxation retreat, I know some special ladies who work really hard and could use a break. A time for fun, reflection, relaxation and time to READ! And, the rest would going to buying more gym equipment for my basement gym.
