Don't look for motivation. Find your why.
Ms. Health and Fitness and Jared Allen's Homes for Wounded Warriors would like to thank Lauren Bauman and her voters for helping us donate to our injured United States military veterans!
Start small! The smallest steps in the right direction lead to the biggest changes that will last longer than any fad diet. Start with a small goal in mind whether it be eating more nutritious meals throughout the day, taking 30 minute daily walks or getting in the gym at least 3 times a week. Once you hit that goal, make a new one! Start to make exercising and eating right a habit, just like you brush your teeth. And always remember consistency is key!
At one point in time I was one of those "New Year, New Me" type of people who made their New Year's resolution to obtain healthier habits. At first going to the gym felt like a burden, but I never made excuses. I stayed consistent day in and day out until I looked forward to getting to work out. The gym became my escape from reality where I could work on becoming stronger both mentally and physically.
I have always envisioned owning a gym and being a personal trainer. I would invest that money into starting that business and following my true passions that make me the happiest.
