What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

I want others to know that being fit and healthy doesn’t have to be complicated. Making simple changes can lead to big results. Set a goal of changing one thing at a time such as drinking more water, increasing daily activity or swapping certain foods for healthier alternatives.

How does fitness positively influence your life?

Fitness is more than just physical activity for me. Sure it is important for overall health, but in fitness I have found myself. I have discovered my strengths and my weaknesses. I have learned that if I set my mind to achieving a goal, I am capable of accomplishing it. I have created some of my strongest relationships in the gym or at a competition. When you surround yourself with like-minded individuals, you empower one another and help each other succeed in all areas of life.

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

If I were to be named the next Ms Health and Fitness, I would use the $20,000 to grow my coaching business. My emphasis will be on educating trauma survivors about health, fitness and nutrition as critical components for their healing journey.
