I'm a fitness competitor with an affinity for video games, corgis, and unbridled love for my only son.
Ms. Health and Fitness and Jared Allen's Homes for Wounded Warriors would like to thank Kristal Glenn and her voters for helping us donate to our injured United States military veterans!
Be completely honest with yourself. You can seek all the help in the world but if you're still willing to make excuses, you aren't ready yet and you need to be able to admit that. When you're ready, go for it, give yourself 3 weeks of healthy eating and any kind of workout and I promise you'll start to see a difference in your body, attitude, and overall well being. Fitness becomes a new kind of addiction. It isn't just about your body, it is about your mind and emotions too, you've got this!
It absolutely has made me a healthier person beyond my body -- it has heavily adjusted my mental and emotional life. My self-esteem, my knowledge, my outlook on life has all become something unlike what it used to be. As a mother who held on to her post body weight for sometime, I'm now feeling like I can keep up with my son, that I won't be a burden to him in the future. Being a positive and healthy role-model for him is all I could dream of and hope that he learns from me.
Honestly, first and foremost, I would put a down payment on a house. After which, I would love to take my son on an international vacation, as I've longed to visit Japan and I couldn't think of anyone better to explore it with -- there is a giant world out there and he's so fascinated by it. Finally, I'd be able to get certification in becoming a trainer -- I want to be able to help others, without charging and arm and a leg, to achieve their health and fitness goals.
