Write down your goals. Putting pen to paper CONNECTS your goals to achieving them. Use pics or magazine cutouts to VISUALIZE your goals. PREPARE meals ahead of time. When eating out, research the menu beforehand. It helps also to get a coach who's DONE what you want to do.
Fitness SAVED my life. I beat ITP, an auto-immune disease where I had no platelets. I would bleed non-stop from the smallest cut, get enormous bruises & risked getting a spontaneous brain hemorrhage. Dr's didn't have a cure. Their meds made me gain 75 lbs, sensitive to the sun & lose my hair. They wanted to remove my spleen. Against their advise, I stopped my meds, started weightlifting, eating better & my disease DISAPPEARED.
I would increase AWARENESS of how fitness & clean-eating saved me & how it could save them, too; not only physiologically, but emotionally & mentally as well. I would reach out to schools & childcare centers to help children obtain healthier habits when it comes to food & physical activity. I would do the same with elder care facilities; helping to motivate older adults to stay active.
