Find mentors to guide you! I did not see results until I invested in myself! I signed up for personalized coaching that gave me accountability and gave me workouts outside of my comfort and cardio routine. It forced me to lift heavy weights and do the things I would never do on my own. I also invested in metabolic testing, nutrition coaching and supplements. By finding out my actual caloric and metabolic needs, I realized I was not eating enough for performance which was preventing change!
It is my meditation. It is the only time of day that my thoughts are clear and everything makes sense. I clear my head and get my best ideas after my workouts. Doing strength training makes me feel stronger in all areas of life. Knowing that I am 125 pounds but can deadlift 200 is incredible to me. I got my first pull up ever a few months ago and I am almost 37.....strength training and CrossFit has shown me that my self limiting beliefs are false...It has given me confidence to tackle life.
I took out a business loan for 25K 2 weeks ago for my LLC (a team) dedicated to help women overcome anxiety, depression and self destruction. I have been in recovery 15 years from food addiction, but standard healthcare focuses on the symptoms of food, body, and weight...not the root causes of depression, anxiety and self loathing. The food is a coping mechanism. It is my passion and purpose to use my strength, hope and experience to help prevent anyone else from going through what I did.
