Ms. Health and Fitness and Jared Allen's Homes for Wounded Warriors would like to thank Jennifer Loaiza and her voters for helping us donate to our injured United States military veterans!

What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

Keeping a positive mindset is key during this journey, start setting small goals towards a healthy nutrition and exercise, they will give you the strenght to feel empowered about your own body. Make a commitment to yourself, don't feel guilty when you get out of track, rest, and try to control your stress levels. Creating a well balanced mind and body environment will lead you to obtain the results you are looking for.

How does fitness positively influence your life?

Fitness gave me back the confidence of feeling good in my own skin. It helped me to overcome my postpartum anxiety, something that an experienced mom never expects to have. I felt lost, I wasn't happy with my body, my self- esteem was so low and my tiredness was so high. When I started to workout and eat healthier I rediscovered the passion I had for fitness and I decided to turn it into a career. Getting a Diploma in Health and Fitness gave me tools to initiate my journey into the field.

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

If I were the next Ms. Health and Fitness I would use the money for establishing a fitness studio for moms and moms to be. I would like to open a space where they can find pre and postnatal workouts, strenght training, pilates, yoga, nutrition advice, childcare for their kids and emotional support.
