Set small attainable goals and focus on goals based around things other than weight. For example, if you’re just getting started, set a goal to exercise 3 days a week for a minimum of 30 minutes. It’s important to find a good coach that can help you set SMART goals. Lastly, HAVE FUN! :) Getting fit and healthy doesn’t have to be restrictive and boring and if it is, you’re less likely to turn that into a lifestyle.
Fitness positively influences my life through relationships. Nothing puts a smile on my face faster than connecting with other women who are working towards a healthier lifestyle. It’s taken me 8 years, and MANY ups and downs with my fitness to learn how to actually love food and not be a prisoner in my own body. And now I get to help other women find the same power!
Becoming the next Ms Health and Fitness would mean that I would have a much bigger platform to speak to women who are intimidated by health and fitness, women who have tried time and time again to find a healthy balance, and women who feel they don’t deserve to put their health first. The $20,000 would allow me to grow my website to make it possible for me to reach more women and give them a safe place to learn and grow in their own health and fitness journey.
