What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

Make the decision and just do it! Find a good trainer that will not only motivate you but encourage you each and every step of your new fitness journey and healthier lifestyle. You’d be surprised that a little change in your eating habits and a little exercise will not only transform you physically, but mentally in so many positive ways. You can have better sleep, eliminate body aches/pains, have more energy, increase your mood and so much more!!

How does fitness positively influence your life?

When I joined the Navy in March 2003, I learned that my family has a history of health issues: cancer, diabetes, obesity, and heart issues. Some members have succumbed due to health complications. I carry the sickle cell trait and have hypertension, so I’m committed even more to being healthy and fit. I thank God each and every day for blessing me to see another day for improvement. I love myself and I strive to make my body look better not only on the outside but feel better on inside as

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

I would give $10,000 each to my sons toward college or put it in their trust fund. As a single parent, I want to make sure my boys have a comfortable life and not have to struggle financially the way that I have. I want them to be able to have opportunities in life. I don't ever want them to have to live paycheck to paycheck. I want them to be happy, healthy, and just have fun!
