Ms. Health and Fitness and Jared Allen's Homes for Wounded Warriors would like to thank Hayley Lambert and her voters for helping us donate to our injured United States military veterans!

What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

Being fit and healthy is not just an 8-week fix or fad diet. It’s a lifestyle involving consistency and dedication. It’s about getting that workout in when it’s that last thing you want to do. It will be a roller coaster and some days will be difficult, but it’s the most rewarding journey to be on.

How does fitness positively influence your life?

Fitness had impacted my life in numerous ways. I was surrounded with negativity and verbal and physical abuse from past relationships. I struggled with depression, anxiety and PTSD. I used fitness as a way to get away from the negativity and focus on myself. It was at that point when I realized fitness had not only had an impact on me physically, but also emotionally and mentally.

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

I am building a fitness brand called “Queen Gymmouse”. It is a workout program directed towards stay-at-home moms and/or busy women. Giving them an opportunity to workout, with children or with little time. I am also passionate about art and I paint on the side. I am moving to Florida to pursue my fitness and my art, so I would use the $20,000 to kickstart my brand and my painting through this transition!
