Keep it simple, fun and set goals. Making your fitness and nutrition routine too complicated can make it daunting and overwhelming, setting you up for failure. By setting fun, incremental, achievable goals you are more likely to keep checking boxes in the win column and before you know it you've managed to surpass any expectations you may have set for yourself.
Fitness not only helped me feel better physically, it also helped to transform my inner brat that spoke so horribly to myself for years. By spending time taking care of myself, I learned so much more about what really makes me tick and how to love myself for who I am, not what others expected me to be. It gave me inner strength, and an ability to make choices that were healthier for my soul.
I am a domestic violence survivor who is lucky enough to have an incredible support system within my immediate family, not all domestic violence survivors are that lucky. It would be my honor to make a charitable donation to a local women's shelter to help other women who were in unhealthy situations. Then I would take my family on an epic vacation that they so very much deserve for putting up with me :)
