What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

Don’t wait, you can do anything you set your mind to do. As a woman who has overcome physical abuse, and even defeated pre diabetes, I have dropped from 188lbs and a size 16 to what I am currently 120lbs and a size 0-2. I have used fitness as an outlet to overcome suffering from a child loss and the abuse I endured, and I want to empower you to go after your dreams too. If I can you can.

How does fitness positively influence your life?

Fitness has allowed me to overcome rather difficult obstacles, I have been through a season in my life where I had to undergo physical therapy because of abuse. A total of three and a half months from a door being kicked down on me, and most recently I have been hit yet again, I have continued using fitness to overcome. I underwent physical therapy for whiplash due to being struck in the head by a mans fist. Believe me if I can figure out how to overcome that you can do anything.

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

I would first replace my vehicle. Sadly the Jeep I bought and paid for was broken and is not driveable. I am half way through my Architecture degree and I am an A student in that subject of study. However I had to move back to my hometown after an abusive relationship and once back home (where there is no Architecture program available) my Jeep had broken. I would supplement the rest to my financial aid. Domestic violence is a huge issue in Louisiana and I want to help survivors have safe homes
