What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

Aside from my education I fell in love with competing 4.5 years ago when I decided to compete and push my body to the next level. For countless years I struggled with weight loss and felt helpless. However, after years of suffering with childhood obesity I said enough was enough. If professionals couldn't help me then I needed to take initiative which I did. I went from roughly 170lbs to now 125lb stage weight. When there is a will, there is a way. When you got heart you are unstoppable.

How does fitness positively influence your life?

I live a very regimented lifestyle around school competing in bodybuilding and working. Fitness has enhanced all aspects of my life by teaching me how to have determination in moments of struggle, consistency when time is minimal, and being punctual with my all of my priorities. Also, fitness has allowed me to set high standards for my nieces. I am a proud auntie of two angels. They are the next female generation and I want them to know that being a strong woman comes from the inside out.

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

If I were the next Ms Health and Fitness, I would invest some funds into childhood obesity so other children have the resources necessary to combat this epidemic. Also, winning would assist me further with my accumulating student loans. I am so thankful for this opportunity to be selected as the next Ms. Health and Fitness as I believe to truly make a difference in this world you need to be the driving factor of change.
