Hard working, fun-loving, and active runner, rock climber, triathlete, yogini, and chemistry professor
Ms. Health and Fitness and Jared Allen's Homes for Wounded Warriors would like to thank Debbie Leedy and her voters for helping us donate to our injured United States military veterans!
Consistency and moderation. I don't follow a diet, I just stop eating when I'm full. I make a conscious decision to fill up on fruits and vegetables first while hydrating. I do crave sweets, and I have learned not to restrict myself but rather find ways to satisfy my sweet tooth with smaller portions and healthier options (protein nut butters are awesome!). On days when I don't feel motivated to workout hard, I at least try to move for 30 minutes. Dog walks are great!
Staying fit and active is and always has been a important part of my daily life. Being active or just being outdoors is a great way for me to start my day or to reset after a long, stressful day. My days feel so much more productive when I start with exercise. This is one of the reasons I chose to become a group fitness instructor - to share my passion for workouts with others.
A lot of the 5K races I run raise money for various charities. I would love to be able to help sponsor a race to promote fitness and an active lifestyle while helping a great cause.
