What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

My biggest recommendation would be to first evaluate your mindset towards this goal of being fit and healthy - how bad do you want it and why? Answering these questions will allow you to set goals which increases your chance of staying motivated. Once you've had that conversation with yourself to start this journey and adjust your mentality for the upcoming changes, you should then understand the importance of nutrition, discipline and patience. I view these as a great recipe for success.

How does fitness positively influence your life?

Fitness has always been a need in my life and I find I am unable to be inactive for long. The joy and satisfaction it brings outweighs any reasoning for not engaging in a healthy lifestyle. I have learned that I am stronger than I give myself credit for and have the potential to reach my goals. With fitness I see an increase in my confidence and positive outlook on life plus a decrease in stress. It can be achieved in the gym or Yoga, no matter the method life is better with an active lifestyle.

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

Winning this money would be such a life changing blessing as it would allow me to feed two of my passions: fitness and personal finance. A portion would be used to invest in myself to progress in nutrition coaching and fitness modelling but the majority is assigned to reaching my goal of financial independence. The result would be a lifestyle where I am better able to help others reach similar goals and live a happier and healthier life.
