Health needs to be perceived as a lifestyle choice. To be fit and healthy, one needs to develop good nutrition, exercise, AND sleep habits, as well as integrating activities for mental and emotional health. In order to be able to help and give to others, you need to take care of yourself first; you cannot give from your cup if it's only half full. Being fit and healthy isn't just about your physical health and looks; it's comprised of everything you put into your body and mind.
Fitness gives me confidence. If I look good, I feel good. There is something so powerful about being comfortable in your own skin. It challenges me to push my body to different limits and try new things. It also allows me to spend time outside to appreciate nature and the peaceful moments. Fitness makes me grateful for my ability to workout; not everyone can go for a run or pick up a dumbbell, and we often take those simple things for granted.
That's easy; put it all towards my student debt!
