My number one recommendation to anyone that wants to be fit and healthy, is to find what works for them. What makes you happy while pursuing a healthy lifestyle? You can do all the fad diets and all the latest workouts, but if you don't enjoy it, I promise you, it won't last. When you enjoy how you're exercising and you enjoy the foods you're nourishing your body with, it becomes part of your lifestyle - and that's how you have sustainability. That is the key to finding lasting results!
Fitness changed my life. I was a competitive athlete, so the discipline of being fit comes naturally. But that doesn't mean you're motivated or happy. After high school, I realized I had disordered eating, exercise bulimia, body dysmorphia & depression. I discovered the joy in a fit lifestyle & turned it for me, not against me anymore. I chose to be the healthiest, happiest version of myself possible & to always be that example for anyone looking to someone for help & motivation.
I've ALWAYS wanted my own gym! I would put it all towards getting this dream going. I’m going to make it happen with or without this prize, but a little help never hurts. Haha! I want a space for anyone to exercise, learn, prosper, feel good, & be surrounded in a vibrant environment with like-minded individuals. ALL THE ENERGY FEELS! I want private training, group training, nutrition lectures, recess, guest classes, group meet-ups, etc! A place that exudes health & positivity.
