Ms. Health and Fitness and Jared Allen's Homes for Wounded Warriors would like to thank Cassandra and her voters for helping us donate to our injured United States military veterans!

What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

Don’t let the scale and the opinion of others rule your health and fitness journey. Learn what you love to do and love to eat that will benefit your body the most, and that will make the biggest difference. Listen to yourself and your intuition when it comes to workout routines, and know that whether your think you are seeing results or not, what really matters is that you are taking the time to take care of and love yourself.

How does fitness positively influence your life?

Fitness gives me the time and the space to spend focusing on my own growth, self development, and success internally as well as externally. It helps keep me goal oriented not only in the health world but in all other aspects of my life, and allows me to stay focused on what is really important to me. It also allows me to keep up with my 4 year old daughter, giving me the energy to do all the fun activities we enjoy together.

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

I would utilize my $20,000 to the fullest! I would put $5,000 into savings for my daughter, 5,000 into my yoga studio, that has its 3 year anniversary coming up in September. The third $5,000 would go towards planning a trip or two to other countries with my daughter Haydn, so that we both may experience other cultures and learn more about the world and all it’s beauty. The last $5,000 I would split between a Roth IRA and a $2,500 donation to Purple Dot Yoga Project (www.purpledotyofaproje
